Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

Start out with a small ratio like B10 (10% of bio to 90% of dino) and then move up 10% a tank. Then u can run B100 like i do. Just coax ur engine with bio or else ur filter will plug up quick. Dont be suprised when it does b/c it will, considering its a cleaner

Just run B99 then change your filter when it needs it. The filter will plug if there is stuff in your tank no matter what

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

Thanks guys, I'll probably start 5 or 7 gallons per tank to start and see where it takes me.......

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

I just went straight to the B-99 when it became available in San Diego. I had a spare filter in the truck just in case. Never had a problem. Just changed out the filter at 15,000 miles like always.

Where is bio available in San Diego? I travel there occasionally and I prefer bio.

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

I started with B20 in my 02 at around 155,000 and never had any filter issues, but I carry an extra just in case. Don't be too surpised when the truck seems to just smooth out a little as soon as the Bio hits the injectors.

Be sure and post back and let us know how you like it.

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

I run 100% homebrew in my 02 and haven't had a single problem in 20K miles....

Just carry a fuel filter or 2 with you and you will be set.

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

To run full-on bio, don't you need to make some adjustments to timing or somesuch?

Re: mixing B99 and #2 diesel

You do not need to adjust anything, I have over 60,000 miles on homebrew. The next time you replace the CPS use one from a DT466, it will advance the timing about 2.5 degrees.

How did you determine that?
