Peanut oil ok?

I assume peanut oil is fine if not better than wvo considering the first diesels ran on it.I'm getting my oil from a resteraunt that uses peanut oil. Just wanted to make sure there were no probs with doing that.-Rob

That is only a problem if you don't heat the oil well before it gets to your injection pump and injectors. With a good heated system setup you can burn just about any oil including animal fat such as bacon grease or fish oil.

That sounds right, and if I remember correctly there are more BTU available in peanut oil compared to soy oil.

IF I remember

#2 is something like 130,000 per/gal
Soy (b100) is like 115,000 per/gal
Peanut is like 140,000 per/gal

But I could be wrong, it's been a while since I even thought about this....

I know someone will tell me i'm off my rocker
