Prefiltering WVO

Hey guys, what's the easiest way to at least get all the big stuffout of my WVO? Anybody have any good ideas? Thanks,

let it set for about a week first then drain the junk off of the bottom and use the oil from the top. this is what i do to mine and i have ran about 300 gal through my racor and havent had to change it yet

94 f450 superduty, 7.3 idi, factory turbo, e4od trans, 5.13 gears, 14000lbs + across the scales every day of the week, 11'redding utility body, 3 cyl kubota diesel(tied in to truck cooling system)for air compressor , front bumper is 8"x8" square (air tank), 4 group 31s batteries mounted to frame under cab,2 straight stainless pipes pokin up in the air and no muffler(sounds great) now runnin on 100% wvo

2ND IDI
93 F250 XLT 2WD 7.3 IDI E4OD ALL STOCK MORRISON UTILITY BODY 10 horse yanmar diesel on the compressor, batteries relocated to under the the cab on the frame

Air filter! A cone or funnel shaped one. SHould get all the big and nasties out and leave you with something a little easier to run thru your polishing filters.

JD, i'll be in Gville next weekend. I can drop off 2 black 55 gal poly barrels for ya if you want them. Pour your oil in them, and let them sit in the sun, add a tap at the bottom or a metered suction tube to take all the crap off the bottom... Works real well.

Hey all, I tried the idea about using the air cleaner. It cleans the oil up pretty well. I'll be running the WVO prefiltered at a 60/40 or 50/50 mix. Hope it works....
