Quality of the used oil?

Hello,

I am going to use Jatropha oil that I make myself for the production of bio diesel.
Before I start I want to know if the quality of the oil is good enough for using the diesel in my car. How do you know your starting oil isn't contaminated with for example to much water or little parts of the seeds?

Are there other things I need to check besides the water content to determine whether my oil is good enough or not?
