luckuslucas what is youre setup on the bus ive seen youre pics and im wondering what youre running and how it works
and yes atf is a nono in the engine its hard to burn and needs to be used hard for it to even start to burn as good as diesel the wvo also is more easily aviable
Yeah, that's not as accurate as it could be (written a few years ago), but we have a new website about to go online, so that'll have all the revisions.
Quick summary:
We use a 5.5hp gas powered trash pump for collection, that pushes the oil through two Rosedale Model 8 stainless steel filter housings, which have either bag or cartridge style filters inside them, down to 10 micron absolute. From there, it drops into the first 120 gallon saddle tank, which we use as a dewatering tank. From there, it gets pumped forward to a second saddle tank. Then up the hotfox, to the Vormax filter, hose-on-hose, pollack valve, and a flat plate heat exchanger, with a looped return. There is no longer any electric heat unlike the website says, it's all coolant heat, and the oil is usually 185* when it hits the injectors.

Airfooter, No disrespect to you, but I have my trucks as beaters and to use for 2 specific reasons. One is to haul large stuff in the bed maybe 2x a month, and the other to have on the island I work on in R.I. in the summer for hauling large coolers form the ferry to the restaurant where I roll sushi.I use and blend grease form restauants who usaully throw the grease in the garbage.
I bought these trucks cheap ,92 for 900 and the 88 for 1100.I got 3 years out of 92 ...sold to friend for 500 and it still kicks ....88 is taking the maiden voyage May 15.
I have no problem telling all if something goes wrong using the blend...nothing to report yet...
As you can tell, I don`t like being generalized or catorigized...I do respect all of your posts though, and I am willing to take the risks associated w/ what I blend.

Also gasoline keeps blends in suspension. I have 16 oz of 80/20 veg/gas that has been sitting in my barn for almost 2 years thru 2 maine winters without separating. Just make sure to thoroughly filter and dewater. I reccomend using Stale gas since it has lost most of its octane, yet still retains the ability to thin as a solvent. You can get stale RUG from boatyards or junkyards for free.

I think the best WVO is canola oil, it stays liquid when cold compared to peanut oil and other blends of liquified lard (bad for the truck and humans).
