Sea Foam Treatment

I am wondering if Seafoam is all the web page talks about. I have talked to a bunch of people that think it is the best stuff in the world, but they use it in Boats.

I went to the web page for motor treatment http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechDiesel.htm It is talking about putting it in the oil before changing it and running it in the fuel to do what basically Diesel Kleen does.

I am wondering if anyone has used it or what you might think about it?

Re: Sea Foam Treatment

I've read a lot about it too. Lots of people swear by it. I read where lots of folks fill their fuel bowl with it after a fuel filter change. I decided to try it once but chickened out after dumping 3/4 of the bottle in the fuel bowl. It smells too much like alcohol to me.

The truck fired right up and never missed a beat. I never noticed any difference at all. It's been around 30,000 miles since I tried it and I don't remember if that was before or after I recorded my highest MPG's ever. I'll probably try it again one day just to see.

Re: Sea Foam Treatment

SeaFoam is a great product. I use it on a regular basis to remove varnish and sludges.

I like to use it on gasoline engines as it really cleans the carbon off the tops of valves and pistons, plus it's great to make huge clouds of smoke out the tail pipe .

Just put it in the fuel and oil in a diesel however, do not put it down the intake tract or you'll get a run-away.

Re: Sea Foam Treatment

I love the stuff myself, or atleast I did before they changed it to meet the '07 ulsd requirements its still pretty good stuff just not as powerfull, when they cut the mix they should have cut the price. By the way the absolute best system, injector,ip pump cleaner I have ever used is B-100.
