Truck is quiter with B-100

FYI,

Well, I topped off the tank yesterday with 18 gallons of B-100 and other then a quieter engine I have not noticed much difference with about 75 miles of driving.
I wish it sounded like that all the time.

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

Yep, I bought 10 gallons for the first time for my PSD 2 weekends ago and it's never been as quiet, no matter what kind of fuel and/or fuel additives I've tried.

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

PRDATR,

Did you get confirmation from WSP that they were selling B-100, not a blend? You mentioned before that you thought it was the blend B-5 that they were selling.

I filled up last Friday and they were selling Bio at $3.21. Was it that same price yesterday when you were there? Seems like all the regular petro diesel is going up and up around the US, hopefully the B-100 there will remain the same price for awhile.

Mark

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

Yup, even on as low as B-10, my truck looses a lot of its rattle on bio-D. Get up to B-50 or more and it'll purr like a big-block gasser on the highway.

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

You Colorado residents are lucky. Youve got well known Blue Sun BD all over the state.

When I was in Durango a while back, B20 was 2.14.

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

Mark,

Yes the price was the same but I used my debit card and paid 3% more. I did get the B-100 and thought it was only 5% Soy. Guess I was misinformed.

Re: Truck is quiter with B-100

According to the Biodiesel website, we may eventually get a couple Biodiesel production plants here in Arizona. Here is the current and proposed nationwide chart. Bio production
