tube in tube heating

http://www.fattywagons.com/fwproducts.htm

I can't find the compression fittings they use in there tube in tube style heated line... anybody got any ideas? I asked my dad ex-plumber now working for HD and he says he doesn't knwo of anybody around us that would carry those (couple wholesale places and your normal spots)

I can make 50' of my own hose in hose heating for $80 if I can just find those fittings, with those fittings it would bring the cost up but I can't justify spending $80 on 15' of something I can make.

Re: tube in tube heating

it looks like a 3/4 by 5/8 brass ferrell type fitting like you hook up a sink with?

Re: tube in tube heating

You just use standered comprssion fittings. You have to drill out the stop so that the tubing will slide all the way thru.

Re: tube in tube heating

I was looking in OSH (somewhere between a hardware store and home desparate if you arn't familiar with them) and they had some fittings. Have you tried printing the picture out and showing a plumbing store?

Re: tube in tube heating

Banshee is right. I've made mine, and standard fitting are what I used, but you do have to drill or grind away the stop.

Best of luck.
