Two stroke oil in the fuel?

I heard some people run the two stroke oil in the diesel. I usually try to run a gallon or two of b20 per tank or power service. I would use b80 or higher but can't get it here. Just wondering what everybody recommends?

I have tried the 2 stroke oil some say it helps but didn't notice much difference. I normally run the power service white bottle in the winter and the silver in the warmer months.

2 Stroke oil isn't going to help you that much. Stick with B20 in your diesel. Just running B1 improves the lubrication qualities of ULSD by 65%.

2 stroke oil is going to make you pollute more too.

I heard you are suppose to use the smokeless/ashless formula of the two stroke. Some swear by it but I'm kind of leaning toward sticking with the bio. I wish they sold the b99 here; I would like to use about a half gallon to a gallon per tank.

Just stick with the biodiesel even at 20%. Biodiesel studies have been done for the past 25 years and have shown no negative side affects aside from a injector coking from poor quality fuel.

2 stroke oil is meant for 2 stroke engines. Biodiesel has been tested by Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins and International.

They'll only warranty 5% but that's just a legal CYA to keep themselves protected from poor quality fuel.

John Deere fills their tractors with B100 from the factory.

I've tried it...approx one oz/gal. As far as polluting more, I just had mine emissions tested. Opacity standard = 40.0, my reading = 0.60 My fuel cost spreadsheet shows that it gives me a 1 mpg improvement. When fuel cost was over $5/gal it was worthwhile; at below $3/gal, I'm pretty sure it is negligable. However, I am using it for its lubricating benefit--still running my original C94 injectors and those other additives are technically 'solvents.'
