US Government having water-powered Hummer developed
Maybe this news report will end the arguement. It's being developed by the inventer of the water-fueled cutting torch, which you can already buy now, and which this news report begins with:
That video has been around for a while and confuses the fundamental element that we are talking about.
The product that the guy created and sell is a stationary (plugin) hydrogen generator. Yes, you can burn hydrogen and if you can burn it you can also power an internal combustion engine with it. It still does not change the fact that that the energy came from the electricity that was probably produced by burning coal.
Water has no potential chemical energy.
You will LOOSE energy every time you transfer it or change its form.
Did you notice that the hydrogen generator in the video is powered by a 30-Ampere, 480-Volt, 3-phase circuit?

Yes, I noticed that, but one isn't supposed to account for the energy used from the electrical grid. It's free energy, and besides, if one accounted for that energy none of this would make any sense. And we all know that it does!

It's not just on YouTube. It was on the 11:00 news before it was on YouTube.
Not that I'm jaded or anything, but my obituary was once broadcast on the 11:00 news. It was greatly exaggerated.

I guess you are missing the part that he has made a car run on only water, and the Government in now interested. I'm sure these things will not come from a regular scientist, as their training has pre-disposed their mind into thinking some things aren't possible, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy for them. Tesla was treated the same way by the majority of the scientific community too.
It is possible to run a car on just water. Most of us understand that. What isn't possible is saving money by running a car on water. Only a few of us here seem to be smart enough to understand that. It can be done, but it will be very expensive to operate. I'm not going to go into why that is true, it would be a waste of my typing skills.
The US Military is NOT interested in saving money. That's not why they are working on this project.
