Like many I'm considering the WVO option. I'm looking for tank and filler location ideas but, given my truck's particulars, there may be only one spot that works.
The bed is out, I have a camper. The left chassis rail under the box is rather blocked by my air bag compressor and Amsoil dual filters. That leaves only the right frame rail under the box as a substantial open space, but it has some inconviently located bolts and stuff sticking out.
Also - the filler tube for the tank. I don't want to cut a hole in the side of the truck, so I was thinking of location it under the hood, but space is at a premium there, too, and I'm wondering if it will have enough downslope to the top of the tank after passing under the firewall.
Scratching my head - any ideas?

Get one of those cool safari racks for your hood, put your spare tire up there and put your tank where your spare used to be. Install a flip down license plate and put your filler tube behind that.
Ford: I've thought of the spare tire space, but I think the tire on the hood would restrict visibility too much. I guess I'd go with no spare, which I'd hate to have to do.
Stefan: That transfer flow looks nice, but I can't go with an in-bed mount because I have a camper.

I've thought about a couple of these. I'm not sure what model, yet. Still looking. Probably under the bed, outside the rails, in front of the rear tire. There is also a pretty big space in front of the factory tank on my crew cab.
