While the 6.9 is a very durable engine, the IP is very sensitive to fuel viscosity. As stated before it can trash an IP if the fuel isn't properly heated or thinned.
Stick with biodiesel in your 6.9 and you'll be happy you did. I've torn down 3 6.2L and one 6.9 that was ruined by improper WVO usage. Coked injectors, plugged filters, and other garbage killed those engines.
If you must use WVO make sure it's filtered extremely well, blended with diesel (if you don't have a tank heating system) and watch your fuel filter like a hawk.
The 6.2s that I've torn down had a similar problem of the WVO getting into the crankcase and forming this peanut butter like jelly in the pan plugging the oil pump and starving the bearings of oil. Trashed crank, trashed mains, trashed engine.
Biodiesel solves those problems by keeping the experimentation off your truck and into your garage where you can get your process down to a science before you put it into your truck.
