I am working on a box to ride in the bed that will have the bottle, pump and solenoids in it. I'm hoping to make it so that you can open the lid to add fluid and open one side to inspect - repair - alter the goodies inside. Should get to the install part today. Having a terrible time getting the right tubing T to fit the MAF tube. Should go a lot faster now. I'm also looking for a source for methanol. I have to have something to get through the winter. Antifreeze might not be the answer.

Use windshield washer fluid in the winter.

The stuff I bought is rated at -25. When I put a hydrometer on it, measured +17. I need more than that. I'm going to start with the windshield washer fluid, but graduate when I find something better.

Around here, we can get methanol at a couple of the local race tracks. NAPA can also get it. Reach out to any bio-d makers in your area and see where they get it from. We were buying ours (for bio-d) from a place that makes fuel for RC cars/planes in SC. I still have ~250gals here if ya wanna stop by!

I'd still be surprised if the WW fluid froze at that temp. Have you tried putting some in the freezer? It should be 0*F (or lower).

The ag equip dealers have methanol. They use it for antifreeze.
A mercedes window washer tank has a coolant heated coil in it. It's 3/8" line , that with a hoh might work.

Don't tempt me. I'm coming to Hilton Head for the month of January. I'm planning on making a better effort at finding some tomorrow.

Methanol is the fuel used in most Model airplanes. In the USA methanol is available in small quantities as HEET brand fuel line antifreeze (Yellow bottle)
Found that on a bio diesel site

Also, 50% methanol/water is 'non-flammable'. Be VERY careful with pure methanol - not only is it very flammable, it burns with a clear flame and is difficult to see. When I brought this stuff home the first time, I demonstrated this to the kids and gave them carte blanche permission to blast anyone approaching the drums of methanol while smoking with the garden hose!!

One more thing, it is highly toxic and inhalation or absorption through the skin can cause blindness and other serious health problems.

simone0414 - I bought a six gallon tank to use. Taping it was a real pain, but it worked.

During prohibition, people drank methanol and went blind or got what was called jake leg which had to do with loss of coordination. Nasty stuff if used wrong.

I will go a long way toward completing the project today.

After a few setbacks, mostly waiting on parts, I should finish the project today. I will need to adjust the flow and I think I have to run down the road and see where it kicks in to know what needs to be done. I tried adjusting the switches and they have no feel or sound, so I don't know where they are. I took pics so I will try to post them when I can.

You should be able to use compressed air to set the switches. The circuit will be normally open - and will close at set pressure. Use the regulator on compressor to dial the pressure down (if it'll go that low...) Use an ohm meter to measure resistance.

Anxious to see what you've done!!!!

Remember, Pics or it Didn't Happen....

Well, I have the pics if I can get this recalcitrant computer to send them. I finished the system yesterday. Had a leak to deal with and got that under control. Now I either have a jet that is not firing or a LED light that is not coming on. I will chase that down today. I ran it some last night and can honestly say I can feel no difference in the performance of the engine. I'm not after performance, just an end to smoking, but I thought I would be able to tell a difference in the seat of my pants. December 1 I will take a 1,500 mile trip so should have some solid data by then. I was running in the dark last night so could not monitor the exhaust. That will happen today. I was surprised at the amount of fluid the injectors put out. Suppose to be about 400 cc per minute and I'm sure it was that much. I was also surprised that the engine could swallow that much water and give no indication that anything had happened. More results as they come in.
