And there is no LSD anymore unless you have some stock piled.
Everything in '07 went to ULSD, even red fuel is ULSD. </div></div>
Since the Diesel Secret is a DIY kit, I consider it home brew. As for LSD availability check the production requirements for refineries.
• Refiners and importers nationwide must ensure that at least 80 percent of the volume of the highway diesel fuel they produce or import is ULSD-compliant by June 1, 2006.
• Diesel fuel classified as ULSD must reach distribution and marketing points downstream from refineries (i.e., pipelines, distributors, terminals and transporters) by September 1, 2006 (July 15, 2006 in California).
• ULSD fuel is expected to be available at many retail locations by October 15, 2006
(September 1, 2006 in California).
• Diesel fuel classified as Low Sulfur Diesel fuel may still be sold at retail locations outside of California between October 15, 2006 and December 1, 2010.
When we refer to 'homebrew' we are referring directly to biodiesel manufacture. There are big differences between running straight veggie and making biodiesel.
Diesel Secret is just cutting WVO with gasoline, xyline, naptha and toluene.
All they are doing is using extremely harsh solvents to lower the viscosity of the veggie oil to run it through high pressure injectors. Either way, it's bad juju for diesels whatever they claim.
As for the availability and distribution of low sulfur diesel, all metropolitan and surrounding areas have converted to ULSD. Some isolated communities may still have it.

I have been mixing Diesel Secret for the past year with NO complaints. I want to know where you found your facts that "Diesel Secret has done thousands of dollars of damage to vehicles and yet they refuse to fess up to the havoc it causes with diesel engines". My truck and my friends F250 have been running like a champ on Diesel Secret for over a year. Both my borthers run cummings and they have a cold start issue with the Diesel Secret fuel so they mix it with 25% diesel in the summer and 50% in the Michigan cold weather. And if you read the Diesel Secret book you will see that you can add "Gas or Kerosene" to thin the mix for cold weather. And to make sure this works you run your mix through a water filter and a 2 micron whole house filter before you put it in your tank.

I want to know why they lie on their website saying making bio-diesel costs over $1.00 and contains 15% or so of methanol. You pull up to a pump anywhere there is NO methanol in the Bio, and if you make it correctly you wash it to get rid of the chemicals and glycerin in the oil. I ran WVO with 5% gas and I'll bet it ran the same as the secret formula in the Diesel Secret Bottle. And I had no start-up issues.

What they (that is Diesel Secret) are saying is a half-truth. Yes there is methanol involved. The commonly accepted amount of methanol to be used in making biodiesel is around 20-20% of methanol for a given volume of vegetable oil.
They are twisting the truth for their own ends to promote their product and divert attention from the fact that Diesel Secret is packed full of some very very nasty chemicals (naptha, toluene, and xyline:chemicals known to cause cancer).
Properly made biodiesel is less toxic than table salt and biodegrades into the environment just like sugar. Take some biodiesel and pour it into a rain puddle and you'll see it behave just like chicken broth in water.
Running WVO does have it's risks however. It must be heated to around 160F before the engine can ingest it, failure to do so can lead to some very costly repairs.
