Who has the most miles on VO/Blend?

Im interested in how well of a long termer this can be.

You can count yourself, or anyone that you have heard of.

Ive been toying with the idea of getting a (very) used PSD, and making my conversion. If you think about it, it may be cheaper than the TDI fuelwise.

Tell me your horror stories too.

I was thinking that even a 75/25 VO/diesel mix (in a greasel setup) might be the key to longterm use here....

Whaddya think?

80/20%, that is 80% cold filtered veggie oil, logged 31852 miles... That was on 4 fuel filters, 99% of those miles were unheated.

IDI?

Did something go wrong, or are you still running the blend?

Re: Who has the most miles on VO/Blend?

Yes that was on the IDI. I stopped running a blend and went to straight veggie once i was conviced my heaters were working properly... Afterall building them yourself out of 40 dollar materials will usually have a person wondering is it going to work. It was running great till i noticed i had a coolant problem... I think its stemming from some shoddy work i had a local shop do to the block. Oh well, serves me right, i shoulda waited till i got home and used my shop there.
