I have been looking for a backup for my 97 PS since it has over 300,000 on it. Not a bit afraid of it, but looking for a deal none the less. I found it. I bought a 1990 F450 dually with a compartmentalized service body and lift gate. Perfect for my real job as a vending service tech. Looks like brand new and has less than 5000 actual miles. I will get a couple pics the first of the week when I get it home.
What I really need is someone to tell me what hoses need to be replaced as it will be running B100.
Spence, I know you have an IDI. Anybody else that can give me a list, have at it. Thanks.

2006 F350 CC LWB Dually XLT Oxford white manual 4x4 6.0 PSD 6 speed. 4.10 LS front and rear, Built May05. 4" turbo back, 55 gal aux fuel tank. A real pig from a stop, give me 15' and she'll slowly come to life, then watch out!
165K miles, 12 injectors, EGR cooler, Fuel pump, 8 glow plugs, GPCM, FICM rebuilt FoMoCo engine at 150K under 7/200 warranty.
Long trip back with it. Ran like a top and drove like a new one, but it is geared slow. turns 2750 to run 65MPH. I guess I also need to go looking at some gears.

2750 @ 65 sounds just like mine with 3.55 rearend/C6 trans with no overdrive. If it's an auto, did you have the OD turned off? Otherwise...I have heard of some of the F450/superduty trucks having 5.13 rear ends...
As for the lines, There are rubber fuel return lines between all of the injectors, and connecting to the fuel feed line after the fuel filter, and a section of rubber line returning from the back of the engine toward the fuel tank. On mine ('86) the flexible lines going from the fuel tank to the tank selector valve are nylon or something, I'm not sure if those can tolerate bio or not, someone else would have to chime in. There are also O-rings in the Q/D fittings on the end of those nylon lines, you'd probably have to replace those.
Also, there are O-rings under those injector return line fittings that would need to be changed. I got viton O-rings for that purpose from Mcmaster-carr, the fuel line O-rings could be bought from them too, I'm sure. You can search their site by dimension for o-rings and buy a bag of them for a few bucks.

Thanks for the heads up on the hoses. I really appreciate that.
The OD was engaged. I turned it off once to be sure and the RPM's jumped to over 3000. I am thinking it has 5.13's or something in that neighborhood because it was a dedicated city truck. I will not tow anything very heavy very far, so I believe I will just pull the pumpkin and put new gears in it. I will need to check to see what is available and compute the change.
