Is there a place to go that has some real good info on using WMO without all of the input from the people that are against it? Every thread here starts out great and then get's into some guy interjecting why it is a bad idea, or veggie is better, or bio is the way to go.
I just want good information on WMO. It seems to me the quickest and easiest way to go.
I am now on a 50/50 WMO/diesel with no problems at all, actually runs better IMO. Some say no, some (like me) say yes. It all boils down to YOU. It's your decision. My truck is a 1994 F350 with the turbo IDI engine. You will just have to weed through all the post and decide if you want to do it or not. jski55 gave me a lot of good information, but I had already decided I was going to run it.
If you do run it, FILTER IT!!! My last filter is a 2 micron filter/water separator just to be sure. I've got about 500 miles on mine so far with no problems. I did run across a guy who had over 600k on his truck with a WMO blend. You make the call. Hope this helps. PM me if you want more info.

Here is a pic of my filter setup. The one on the right (1st in line) is a 5 micron whole house water filter from Lowes and the one on the left is the 2 micron fuel filter/water separator from summit racing (made by perma-cool).
Here are the filters I am using in the first (5 micron) filter. DON'T use the one on the left!!! Using the pump I am using I blew the ID out (see next pic). The one on the right has a reinforced ID and is working well SO FAR.
Here is a pic of the filter on the left with a blown ID (didn't even last for 5 gallons).
And here is a pic of the ID of the filter on the right. Notice the reinforced ID. Working well so far.
Here is a link to summit racing for the 2 micron filter/water separator http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=PRM%2D88864&N=700+400 006+304356+115&autoview=sku
On the right of the screen you will see a section called replacement parts and a part # PRM-81000 which is a link. It is for the replaceable filter cartridge and it's only $14.95.
Hope this helps out some. I would post a pic of my pump hooked up but this site only allows 4 pics per post. If anyone has any more questions just let me know and I will try to answer them.
Jeff

I filter straight oil, add it to the truck tank and then go fill the rest up with diesel. I do love having 2 tanks. It gets mixed really well when I fill the tank.

It helps when you are collecting oil to mix it with diesel or whatever you are going to cut it with to do that before you filter. That speeds up the filtering process. Keep in mind that i have run 100% wmo but I used a two tank setup for that testing phase. Meaning i started and ended on straight diesel but switched to pure highly filtered wmo when i was warmed up. Welcome to WMO use: REcycling at its best. Saves pollution from discarded motor oil, saves diesel for everyone and saves you a little money in the process.
AS far as the naysayers...they are entitled to their opinions. And those opinions are usually based on heresay not experience.

This is very helpful. Pictures and info on the pump too please. And so far, not one "nay sayer" trying to butt into the thread......
The pump I am using I got out of the scrap bin at work and rebuilt (I love working in maintenance sometimes). To buy one new is about $800-$900 (may be around $300-$500 on e-bay) so I would look at some different options. Tractor supply has a couple of electric diaphragm pumps for around $80. Just do a search on their site. BTW the pump I have is an IR Aero diaphragm pump. I will get you a pic and some specs if you really want them, just want you to know how much $$$ it is. Hope this helps.
***EDIT***
I was mistaken, you can find the pumps on e-bay for a low as $80 used and rebuild kits are fairly cheap if you need one for your new to you used pump.

I'm running 15kero/85WMO.
Hey, let's tow the boat to the beach. Fuel cost? Almost zip. Actually I am looking for a diesel motor that will bolt up to a Mercruiser outdrive. I wonder if the old diesel 350 Caddy motor is worth finding. Wonder if there is a Mercedes 350SD adapter. Hate to have to make one.
