I have been wondering about the best way to get the final product of BD all clean. I was wondering if I made a filtering set up that used a small electric pump, an Amsoil Bypass filter, and a tank with the proper lines in and out if that would work. Those filters remove nearly everything in the engine oil, so that is where I am coming from. I would use a 55 gallon drum as the tank and then mount the pump and filter to the side of it. The feed line would be at the bottom (DUHHHH!!!) and the return line would be at the top of the tank. Anyways, that is what I am thinking. Any ideas??? Thanks.

Some recommend a 10 micron filter, some choose a 5 micron filter. You can pick up a good filter unit at your local hydraulics distributer. Parker Hannifin makes filter units and filters. You might check in your phone book and call the following distributors and ask them.
Motion Industries
Grainger (sort of expensive and won't sell to individuals, only businesses)
Northern Tool (They also have the water pump many are using in their processors)
I plan to only filter it as I pump it to the vehicle. You can pick up the filler hose and auto shutoff nozzle at Tractor supply. They may also have filter assemblies.
I hope you aren't trying to use the filter instead of washing it as that won't work.

You can also pick up good fuel filter assemblies through just about any marine supply shop. Racor is a respected brand, and there are several others as well.
They all have filter cartidges that run down to the 5 micron range. Make sure you look for diesel assemblies.
My plan is to use two juice/soap drums, with one up on a stand. I'll run a line from a few inches above the bottom of the upper tank down to the top of the lower tank, and put a 5micron element filter in that line. I should be able to pour the collected WVO into the top tank and let it slowly drain through the filter into the bottom tank.
By placing the line above the bottom of the upper tank, I can let the collected oil sit in the tank for awhile before opening the valve, and sediment can fall out without getting passed to the filter.

This is not intended to replace washing, but just to get as filtered as I can. The last thing I need is to have clogged filters and regulator screen. I just want the piece of mind.

Provided that you have already washed your fuel, filtration is the right idea. I see one flaw in proposed process. By circulating the fuel back into the same tank, you will approach complete filtration but will not complete the job. Unless you pump all the fuel through the filter as you pump it out there will always be some particles in suspension.
Lob, From what I have read, sediment continues to drop out in storage. This is due to continued reaction. What I do not recall is if this still occurrs with washed fuel. You should filter prior to putting it in your tank regardless of any prior filtration.

During the WASH phase, you can add a couple spoonfuls of VINEGAR. This cancels out any remaining LYE that may be in suspension and will stop any further reactions. You might need to do PH tests on the wash water to verify you have achieved a neautral PH which would indicate the ACID of the vinegar has canceled out the BASE of the lye.
As for plugging fuel filters, you more than likely wont plug them from the bio-diesel itself. What happens is, Bio-D is an EXCELLENT fuel system cleaner. All the gunk that dino-diesel has left in your system will get broken up and washed away by even MILD mixtures of bio-d. THAT is what plugs up you fuel filter. After a couple of filters tho, you should have a spotless fuel system!!
I'd also put in a filter like they use in crop sprayers. It's basically a cannister type filter with a cleanable metal screen element. It should work for filtering out the bigger bits, and save your amsoil filter for the finer particles. The metal screen filters are available with a variety of mesh sizes.
ford for--you aint wrong about the cleaning action of bio--i use 50/50 mix wvo dzl in the tdi--have plugged three 2 micron cat filters on this car in 3 thousand miles!!!!!!!!course the car had 275,000 on it went started this!!!!! but is taking longer to plug the filters now!!!! so tank should be spotless before long!!!!
