It's the fuel that needs to be heated. It's also good practice to wait until your engine is up to operating temperature before using WVO.
IMO, I never cared for running straight WVO since it's a very viscous fuel and will coke and clog injectors in short order if not run properly. Biodiesel solves many of those problems.
