Yes, another one

I joined a Bio Diesel Co-op before reading the fine-print in the contract where it said that some fuel systems' internals may be damaged by use of it. My truck; '99.5 PSD SCrew. My question; What qualifications should I look for in the spec sheets for their fuel before I pump?

TIA,

TGE

Re: Yes, another one

You should be fine. I would worry more about a veh odler than about 93.
You may have a few plugged filters before your tank gets the gunk cleaned out as Biodiesel is a great solvent. Carry a spare filter, tools, gloves and some rags.
Other than that, as long as they are making quality fuel you should be good to go. Also cold weather is an issue so you will want to talk to them about blending percentages.

Re: Yes, another one

You'll do fine with biodiesel, as stated above, vehicles built after '93 have synthetic fuel lines.

My '86 finally required fuel line replacement this summer after about 20k miles of driving with biodiesel. Total fuel line repair was about 20 bucks.

McMaster Carr carries viton hoses for replacement.

Re: Yes, another one

Cool, thanks guys. I'll filler up and throw my filters in the toolbox.
