03 F250 6.0 no start the first time

Went out today after work to leave turned key on waited for glow plug light to go out. Hit key and crank no start. Turned key on waited again for glow plug light off somewhat extended crank and started. Ran fine no issues all the way home. It was 49 degrees. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Could be a leak in the HPOP system, if so it would only get worse. Let us know what it does tomorrow after sitting overnight.

Update. Started truck this morning. Turn key on waited and fired right up. It was 42 degrees. Seemed a little rough at start up and louder than normal engine noise. Got off work today no issues. Not sure what to do. Maybe it needs to get worse before I can pin it down.

All you can do is keep driving and listen for anything unusual....

Mine did the same thing. Some cold mornings it would be real hard to start, the rest of the day would be fine. Next morning it would start right up. It got to the point it would no longer start at all and it was the FICM. Got a used one off Ebay and the truck fired right up since then no problem. Just my .02

Be careful w/used ficm they do need to be programmed, you can just take it to ford (the used ficm) and they can flash it to your vin.
