03 F250 Going Into Gear Slow

Hi Everyone, New To The Diesel World, Just Got An 03 F250 6.0 Last Week, And As I Have Been Learning All Week Just By Reading Forums That I Need To Do Head Studs Asap!!!!
The Problem Im Having Is That When Im In Park And I Got To Put It In D Or R It Takes A Good Few Seconds Before It In Gauges, Sometimes It Even Kicks A Little Into Gear. Once Its In Gear It Shifts Great And Seems To Run Very Smooth, I Just Did The Trans Oil And Filter.
Any Ideas Before I Take It To The Trans Shop And Get Bent Over Would Be Great.
Thanks For Any Help And Looking Forward To The Diesel World.

Ps Its A 2wd Truck

Midcity... I had the same problem over the summer. Mine would hesitate a few seconds when going from park to reverse or park to drive... most of the time it would wait for a few seconds then snap into gear hard.

I ended up taking it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as the pressure control solenoid. I think it cost around $450 for them to do it. That also included a complete trans fluid and filter change. I have all the diagrams and procedures to have done the work myself, but I didnt really have the time to attempt it. If you are pretty good at repairs you could most likely do it yourself with a friend to help. Its suprising how quickly the truck snaps into gear when shifting from park to reverse or drive now. Let me know if you need anything else. The part numbers they replaced are 4c3z7g383aa (Solenoid) and a 3c3z7z276aa (solenoid Seal)
