03 F350 6.0 Powerstroke
Hello All,
I am hoping someone can possibly point me in the right direction with my 03 F350 6.0. It has 93K on it and when I first purchased it last year, it worked great. About 4 months ago it started to develop a rough idle. I immediately took it to my mechanic who said it was the #4 injector and he replaced it. It worked good for about a week, then along with the rough idle, it developed a miss when cruising along about 60-65 mph. When its under throttle or if I put it in tow/haul mode, it does not seem to do it quite as bad. Needless to say my mechanic told me it was the torque converter acting up and I told him to do what he had to do to fix it. $1800.00 later, my truck is ten times worse than what it was and I am out of answers, I have no clue where to go from here. I talked to Ford and they want $2000.00 up front to even start to tear the top end of the motor apart. I am not about to be hosed once again especially if they can't tell me what my problem is or let alone remotely have a clue. The check engine light has Never came on for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
