03 turbo rebuild

I need to find a company that coukd rebuild my 03 turbo. I am in the process of having all 8 injectors replaced and when we pulled the intake tube and looked into the turbo the vanes were all chewed up at the ends. Due to the $2800 bill for the injectors a new turbo is out of the question. I am located in new jersey.

You probably can get a kit and rebuild it yourself. Otherwise i would bet any descent speed shop or diesel shop could do it for you. Just pull it and take it in. They probably can have it done by the next day.

I been in the field awhile and I would not even try a rebuild myself. The turbo spins at such a high rpm that any imbalance would mostly destroy the unit.

Ok, then he should take it to a shop and have it rebuilt. I have seen shops on the web that only rebuild turbos and they say ~$250 plus parts for a rebuild. Just look around.

I have heard good things about Rons Turbo Service: 801 842-9186. He has an e-bay store, and is used to working with people through the mail. 99% positive feedback, and big jeremy was telling me that he is real good at what he does.

If you are still looking for a turbo rebuilder in NJ? If so Im sure the guys over at Scroll Products can correct the problem. They work with all of the late model diesel Variable Nozzle VNT turbochargers.
