03E03/06E17 Cold start/hi idle

Finally had both done which included newest one for FICM. Cant compare one against other as I got all RC's at one time.

Q..After reflash on cold start did your tach immediately hit 700 rpm?

Q..After complete warm up, did you notice idle abit higher VS pre flash? Just curious. T I A

Re: 03E03/06E17 Cold start/hi idle

OK then, apparently Im only one? Latest (I got it) FICM recal. wasn't part of the earlier 03/06E recal. Maybe n/a. But no complaint. Cold start/hi idle stragedy has changed abit.

Did fix my...smoking/rompin...Quirky/jerky delay P-R & R-D. T. lag same. I recall some saying no lag from one of these recals. I always considered normal due to how T. works. JMO!

Power..no major drop, but s-o-p feels like a very slight drop. Warm idle seems abit smoother. mpg/towing dont know yet.

Re: 03E03/06E17 Cold start/hi idle

To answer both of your questions:

Didn't notice a difference
and
Didn't notice a difference.

As far as the first calibration, it solved a lot of concerns that I had at the time. A good flash in spite of all the nitpicking I've read through.

The second flash was also good as it improved the diagnostics, solved a couple of "low power from time-to-time" issues and ended up diagnosing a problem that I had had periodically, letting me squeak in a warranty repair with less than 800 miles to go before expiration. Mileage is a little better too.

Opinions are like belly buttons (or aother anatomic components): all different.

I liked my reflashes.
