04 6OL (possible) Lemon Law

I have had the well known oil leak known as the bell housing drip since day 1 of this vehicle. I have now been through 4 repair attempts. If arbitration does happen and it gets replaced does anyone know if there are additional fees associated with getting a new vehicle form Ford? Am i responsible for paying mileage or additional taxes on a replecement vehicle?

I know someone must have a similar experience and was hoping to get info prior to it happening.

Thanks

Re: 04 6OL (possible) Lemon Law

Need some moe info. You talk of "lemon law", which varies from state to state. It looks like you have an 04. When built, when did you take delivery, and how many miles on it now? Your best bet is to try the DSB process first. Your owner's manual will have the information on how to get the paperwork to start.

Now having said that, are they sure its the rear main & not a bed plate?

Every case is unique.

And it does sound like you're talking about the DSB process, not Lemon Law. Lemon Law guidelines are set by your state.

Re: 04 6OL (possible) Lemon Law

It's lemon law (demand for arbitration). The truck is a year old and has almost 16k miles on it now.

The reason i ask is that the problem existed from day 1 and i wasnt sure if they were gonna try and make me pay for the mileage i have already put on it.

Its leak free right now, but just wanted to know ahead of time in case the problem comes back.
