04 F-350 crew cab dually 6.0 loaded up and blew tons of smoke

let me start off by saying that I have a predator power programmer and routinely switch settings between tow and 65 hp add programs and then back to stock for my wife to drive. The only mod I have done is an intake with k and n filter. Now, the problem, my wife was driving it the other day and the thing started to load up, then no power and she pulled over to the side of the road and ran like crap for 30 seconds with tons of smoke. She called me on the cell phone and I told her to shut it off and then restart it then give it 2500 rpms to clear the pipes so to speak. Then it drove ok and since then no probs.

This has happened only to her and not me and about 4-5 times now

anyone know what I need to do !!!!!!!!!

Dean..

P.S. I am new to this forum, but belong to snowest forums for a long time and they turned me on to you guys

thanks in advance

Possible clogged EGR valve. Pretty much the same symptoms that mine had. Dealer replaced the valve yesterday - would not let me take pictures though.

Re: 04 F-350 crew cab dually 6.0 loaded up and blew tons of smoke

So you think that cleaning the valve out would do the trick ??

Is it because I don't have the bigger exhaust on that this keeps
happening ???
