2004 King Ranch......

Well I had a 2004 Crew Cab LWB King Ranch with 30k miles all weekend at the house....boy that truck was a piece

If you stomped the accel. it would fall on it's face.........wouldn't shift out and wouldn't get outta its own way.....

Going up hills with the cruise set it would drop from 70mph to 60mph

And once while turning at an intersection in the middle of two 4 lane roads...the cruise tried to reset.......and the whole truck did a 360* in the road(Insert pucker factor here)

The headlights also only shined like 20' infront of the truck

Anyone else have problems like this with thier 04

I did like the roomie interior and the smoother ride

Re: 2004 King Ranch......

You shoulda brought it by the house and let me rob the seats out of it since it was a POS.......

Actually, I was under the impression that the problematic 6.0s were the '03s?

Re: 2004 King Ranch......

My '04 flat out hauls butt - no chip, no programmer. Never had to climb hills though - Texas is flat.

I'd say you had a truck with a problem.

Re: 2004 King Ranch......

The truck you speak of must have had a bad batch of fuel or something wrong with it. every 6.0 I have ever drove will flat walk away from any other diesel truck, 7.3s, duramaxes, cummins off of the line. My stock 6.0 will easily outdistance my neighbors 7.3 modded truck. I do have a momentary lag leaving a green light, a few tenths of a second, then just the onrush of acceleration.

[/ QUOTE ]Couldn't be fuel....I put the exact same fuel in my 95 7.3 at the same time

I think the reason it was traded is because of being so sluggish
