Re: 2005 Mileage dropping, need to make some improvements

My 2006 f350 6.0 auto 4x4 cc swb is doing the same thing, MPG is dropping. I had the same truck in and 04 and it would deliver 50 more miles per tank than the 06. I get 13 around town and can just barely get 15 on the hwy. The 04 got 15 around town and 17-18 on the hwy.

Now that the summer construction season is over mine is going to see the dealer.

It only has 7500 miles on it.

Re: 2005 Mileage dropping, need to make some improvements

Take it to the dealer,I just had the turbo replace on mine cause of sticking last week .After today I'm all happy ,cause I took it today from the hi desert to L.A.,about 120miles round trip. Was shooked to see with the dummy meter that I got 22.3 going there(down hill mostly) and 20.5 coming home (going uphill mostly )
To say the least I'm very happy with it now! ,since before this I only got 15-16 on the same trip still unloaded. Most I've gotten was 21 going to Vegas. Good luck!! P.S. This is a daily driver also .

Re: 2005 Mileage dropping, need to make some improvements

Good point, I have heard of those new turbos failing slowly. Why International though they could make a better turbo than the original Garret I do not know.
