2005 PSD Oil Change Wrench Sizes

I used this forum extensively when deciding whether to buy the PSD or the DuraMax...now that I have decided and received my new truck, I have a beginners question. I have 1400 miles on the new motor and am ready to change the oil. The Ford manual doesn't help much...what size socket takes the cover off the oil filter? What size socket fits the fuel filter that is under the truck along the frame? It is stamped 25 Nm. When changing that fuel filter, if I park it down hill, will that stop some of the fuel from running down my arms?? When changing both fuel filters, do you have to pump the air out like my old Mercedes or does it purge itself?

Great forum and thanks for any help you can give me....

Re: 2005 PSD Oil Change Wrench Sizes

Congrats on the truck!

36mm for both the oil filter and fuel filter. For the fuel, park downhill, use a 6mm allen wrench on the drainplug, if it's a 4x4, can be a bit difficult. Drain it out and replace the big filter with the 36 mm you use for your oil filter. You'll see next to your oil filter the other fuel filter. Loosen that with your ratchet drive, replace the filter. It is self purging and you'll hear it when you loosen her up.
