6.0L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 2003-Up Super-Duties and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. 2006 f-350 6.0 fuel pig!!!

ok so im looking for help in getting better mileage out of my truck...i put a banks air intake and a banks six gun in the truck and leave it on #4 setting and if i baby the truck i cant get any better then a lil over 14mpg's...stock tires cap and maybe 1500 pounds of tools in the truck.....i have also tryed diesel kleen additive and lucas additives nothing.....is this normal???my gas 2003 f-250 was getting 12.....helppppppp me

Mines an 05 and I get maybe 13-14city and 18-21hwy with no mods all stock...

What were you getting before all the banks? You should be getting around 17 highway unless you have duels and 4.30 gears.

high 11's mid 12's srw and 3.73's.....and i cant get any straight answers on whats the best setting for the six gun....

Mine is in the 13-14 range with the big tires and completely stock. I used to get in the mid 17's with the tires, and stock. The dealer reflashed for the new FICM - now not so good.

Also - i would STRONGLY advise you on getting rid of the aftermarket intake unless you are out of warranty. The stock intake is good for 500+ HP, and it will void warranty due to "dusting" of the turbo. i'm sure there are posts about it - just an FYI
