6.0 fuel problem?

My 6.0 has been running rough in the morning for the last 2 months or so until it warms up, then runs fine all day. Yesterday leaving work for the day, the truck was running rough but I wanted to get out of there. Got about 1/4 mile down the road and i lost all power and the truck died. Cranked fine, but batteries seemed low. Had them tested, they were bad, and replaced both. Tried to start, fired up but ran rough for about 20 seconds and died. Now when i try to start, just turns over chugs along as long as starter is going, dies as soon as i let go of key. Shot some starter fluid in air intake just to see, fires right up fir a few seconds, dies. Thanks in advance for your answers.

When's the last time the fuel filters were changed? It could also be a bad FICM.

Sounds like an injector or two. I had similar symptoms. I replaced all 8 of my injectors to be on the safe side. It isn't terribly complicated. Took about 8 hours to do all 8. Driver's side is easy, about 3 hours. Passenger side was a bit of a pain because of clearances.
