ABS light when turning wheel

I have an 06f250, yesterday the ABS light came on, When I tunrned off the truck and back on it went away, but as soon as I turned the wheel as far to left as it would go the light came on again just before it hit the stop... Turning off the truck and back on resetes it, but the light returns everytime I get the wheel almost all the way to the left.... I am assuming one of my wheel sensors is bad, but would my symptoms indicate a bad right or left sensor, any one have a link as to how to replace these? Thanks!

Take a look at the wires running down to each front wheel. They are for the ABS sensor and are supposed to be clipped to the brake hose, but sometimes the clips break and the wire will rub against the tire, although usually this would lead to a continuous ABS light. You could pay the diagnostic fee and have someone scan it, this would immediately tell you which component was bad.

Unit Wheel Bearing Bad

I would defiantly check the connections to the sending units, I have had one get pulled on a little due to my lift.
But I suppect it is your wheel bearing assembly, due to the fact that it lights during turns. I just had mine diagnosed last month by dealer checking signals from front ABS sending units. I replaced both unit bearing myself and no more ABS light. Once you start getting some movement in the wheel bearings the ABS tone ring that is part of the assembly does not trigger the sending unit cleanly. They are not hard to replace, but I could not find them anywhere but the dealer for the 05 up.

I would say if it only happens when the truck is still and you are turning the steering wheel sounds like a wire being pulled or if it is rubbed through it might be grounding on metal to trigger the light.

I will have to check this tomorrow, I sure hope it is just a wire....I don't hear any noise like a bearing going bad, but I know this can happen. But I think with it coming on when turning the wheel at a complete stop seems more like a wire problem (At least that is what I hope it is !
