No apology needed. I'm glad you got it repaired. I'm not a big fan of the egr. Never have been, never will. But that 2 stroke oil is something of a miracle in how these trucks run. I've been running it for over 2 years and its as natural to me as adding fuel conditioner. Good luck to you, sir.
My first post...interesting read, interesting replies. I guess ALL message boards have this comedy
Going to Glamis tomorrow, gonna hit the dunes in Sunny So Cal. Bought 2 pints of the TCW and gonna give it a try in my new to me 2002 F250 7.3 towing my 24 ft Titan toyhauler, wish me luck
No gains yet that I've noticed...with the oil. Still around 15.4. My wife noticed the difference in sound. "What's wrong with your truck?" "what?" "Its sounds quieter"
So yeah, sounds a lot better, filled up without once, didn't have any at the time of fill up...Wow, what a difference!! I thought the truck was gonna blow up or something Hahaha souned horrible after running WITH the oil, next day put the oil in and 5 minutes later she was purring again
And for the record, the so called flaming on this board is nothing compared to pirate4x4 which I frequent daily.
I chuckled a few times reading this entire posts, doesn't sound like any flamming to me but more like a mom talking authoritatively to her son, I think these replies were posted that way to lighten up what is already hardship on originator. It is very hard to type expression into this forum. Smile....
On that note, I have tried many type of oil, new and used, even acetone, have not found problems yet.
There is nothing that will hurt your engine by using it. I've been using it for almost 2 years with no problems at all.
Keep in mind that one of your biggest critics here has the name, "newtodieseling" and that should be enough of a clue for you.
Jim
My sediments exactly!!!

As for your fuel additive, using non-ash 2-stroke oil (roughly 1oz per 1gal) is a good idea. An even better idea is running BioDiesel if you're in a climate warm enough. BioDiesel, like regular diesel, will gel about 0c with no additives. The ULSD you buy at your filling station already has additives specific to your climate.
Your truck was not designed to run on ULSD (15ppm sulfur diesel). These "there goes your warranty" idiots have no idea what they're talking about what-s-ever. Using non-ash 2-stroke or BioD will greatly increase the life of your fuel injection pump and BioD will clean out your entire fuel system.
I have ran B100 (100% BioD) in my 7.3 TD, they all ran MUCH better than with the old LSD (500ppm sulfur diesel). I run B100 in my Hummers (6.5TD engine) also and they love it. I mix in some LSD in cooler months. I run either B100 or some mix of that plus LSD in my D-Max and it runs great. My D-Max runs best on B100, but it's inconvenient to buy so I usually run LSD. When in a very cold climate I will run 100% LSD, but I would never be dumb enough to run ULSD without an additive like 2-stroke oil.
Index of terms for the "it will void your warranty" crowd:
LSD: low-sulfur diesel, 500ppm sulfur. Sulfur = lubrication
ULSD: ultra-low-sulfur diesel, 15ppm. This means your truck is running on 3% the sulfur designed to lubricate your engine. ULSD=junk fuel
B100: 100% Biodlesel. Biodiesel will provide you with THE most lubrication and it will clean out your fuel system.
ppm: parts per milion...it's a form of measuring
most would piss themselves if they knew what my junk has run on.....for 100's of thousands of miles

I have used 2-cycle oil for almost a year and I could here the difference right away. Less motor noise. Better idle. No mpg change! I also pull a 5 Th Wheel and no problems. I did some research and found results from lab results. This works. Wal Mart 2-cycle oil.

Im thinking white or red.
I dont worry about how much weight my truck will pull, I worry about how much it'll stop.
Less wear and tare on the HP oil pump and the injectors. Gives them the needed lubrication that they removed when they changed to 15 ppm diesel fuel.
