Air or Hissing Noise

Yesterday, started up my truck in the driveway (warm start) and at idle it had a loud air noise, like an air compressor left open. Checked under the hood and did not see anything. It louder by the left front tire. The noise does not seem to increase with rpms, though its hard to hear any other noise. I thought it might be a vacum leak but from where? 4x4 system? Any ideas? Re: Air or Hissing Noise

Check your "Y" pipe where it goes into your turbo. I have heard others having this symptom with cracked 'Y' pipes.
