airfilter assembly box

Just got my truck back from the dealer after putting in a new turbo and i thought I would check the work and see anything different. I came across the airfilter box and noted a black hose that was attached to the air box on one end and nothing else. I searched and searched and can not find any place for this tube to connect to. I didnt notice it before. Just wondering if it is suspose to just be free on one end like that. It is about a 1-1 1/2" hose. Anyone with insite thanks.

Re: airfilter assembly box

The open end of it is usually inserted in a hole provided in the fenderwell forward of the airbox.
