Annoying whining noise, anyone have it too??

Well about a month ago my pickup starts making a whining sound only when im driving, setting still it doesnt make the soud. The sound sounds like hrrrrrrrr sometimes long, sometimes short never constant. Have some friends that have 6.0 ltrs tell me it was their power steering pump and to overflow the power steering fluid, i did that and it still does it..Anyone have this same problem??

Maybe your hydro-booster. Mine was changed for that, they are famous for it.

Re: Annoying whining noise, anyone have it too??

It could be an exhaust leak. My 05 did the same thing and it turned out to be the exhaust.
