ARP/HG and still puking?

Had truck in at 76k for ARP HG. Had new oil cooler installed as well.
Truck has 80k now and today I popped the hood and had coolant residue all over the bottle at the cap. This is freaking me out after all I have been through with this truck. My question is after getting ARPS and new HG has antone had a second failure. My EGR is permaently fixed so thats not at issue. My coolant level is still just under the cool mark on the bottle.

Run SCT econo tune and ran truck hard highway latley WOT a few times with boost at 28lbs for a few second at a time. Reloaded stock and only runs up to about 24lbs. Any ideas?

Did you have the heads magnafluxed for cracks? Were the heads machined flat prior to reinstallation?? Were the studs torqued to the correct specs?? Those three are the most common reasons for puking after headstuds...

It was done under warranty by a real good ford tech. They would not magnaflux, only check for warp. If warped they order a new head. I will have to run it hard again this week and see if it still does it.

Well, in your case, did they use new heads or the originals? Cracks in the heads are not uncommon. If they used your originals and didn't check them for cracks (magnaflux), then you really don't know if they were cracked or not. Brand new heads that are not flat is also not unheard of...

Good luck.

No, heads were fine. Stopped in at dealer when he got them off. ARPs were installed. After running the truck hard today, I have no sign of puking out the cap at all, and coolant level is still right where is was before. Kind of wondering if it was overfilled or driving off-road bounces coolant up to the cap when the cap is letting off pressure enough to shoot some out? I ran the crap out of it today, WOT on the highway, hard stop and go as well, nothing came out the cap at all today. Go figure. Fine with me.
