Post Axle and Locker Questions

Hi, I'm new to The Diesel Shop and owning a diesel. I have a 2005 f250 superduty 4x4. 6.0L. I want to install lockers front and rear. I want to go Detroit lockers. I want to make sure I have the information right on my truck.

So for my axles I think I have:

Rear

Ford 10.25?

Front

Dana 60 (maybe 70?)

I'm pretty sure I'm running 3.73s but will check if needed.

I need to know what the spline counts are for the front and rear axle. I called the dealership (a waste of time as usual) and they told me I had 28 or 35 splines. Is there anyway to tell the spline count other than cracking the case and counting them?

I used the search function and couldn't find anything. Please help.

Never use a Detroit in the front..I wouldn't even use it in the rear..get ARB's

Your rear is a 10.5" 35 sp
Front is a D60 35sp
3.73 is your gearing.

I second that. I put an ARB in the rear and love it. The ability to have open diffs on the road and a locker when off can't be beat.
