After 5 years the stock Motorcraft batteries are working fine, and when I need replacements, that is what I'll get.

Thumbs up

I just installed a set of the Sears Diehard Platinum (Oddysey) batteries. Perfect fit into the battery trays. Engine cranks over with much more enthusiasm and my on-board air compressor runs like a bat out of hell.

I put Sears Diehard Golds in mine about 2 years ago and have been happy with them.

+1...I have one in my Airstream. Only had one problem with them....first one I installed in 2005 went dead over the winter of 2006, while the trailer was in storage. When I put it on the charger in 2007, it overheated and blew the little gray piece on top and vented....in the middle of the night. I thought I had a gas leak and freaked out.

This one has given me no problems in two years.

I'm going for the Optimas, I "acquired" a yellow top out of a police car turn-in that I was going to put in my ranger. It wouldn't fit so I left it sit in my garage for 6 months, through a 0 degree winter. I gave it to my dad for a project s-10 and it started a monster 350 with no charging. I was very impressed.
