I have a quick question for you guys. Is there any year for the 6.0 Powerstroke that is preferred over the rest as far as reliability and performance are concerned?? Just wondering.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Moose

I agree with Darsey715, but would include that any 6.0 that you find and do the Oasis report(and receive a positive outcome)and get a healthy current checkup, should be good to go...2005-2007 will have a list of improvements worth having...
I'm proud to have a 2003... because there are
not many dealers in Germany, who can repair
a Powerstroke.

Some folks will argue against this, but I have seen the techs here say it themselves and have heard it in other places as well... A properly running 03 is the strongest of the bunch.

From 03 to mid 06. Many engine up grades were changed. No changes after 1/15/06. New style heads. As for ride 05-06 with coil front end. As for looks and chrome pkg and upgraded models 06-07.
All the engines are good until repairs start. After warranty you are into $$$. For some these have been the greats trucks on the road. The facts a lot owners fought with Ford on warranty work on the early engines. A lot of buy backs.
I was lucky and ordered at cut off date of 06. Have a great truck.
The facts tell the story. Some guy's were not lucky.
