Block Heater cord

I was doing my first oil change recently when I noticed my truck does not have a block heater cord installed. Yes I looked behind the fog lights, and the connecter is there above the starter, but no cord. I had this truck delivered and picked up in colorado springs colorado back in february. Question is do I complain to my local ford dealer in San Diego, or not worry about it since i live in San Diego and will never need it? I believe, According to Ford, That the cord should come free if the truck was delivered in Colorado.

Re: Block Heater cord

Don't worry about it unless you are going to Mammoth Mountian for skiing. It does not get cold enough to need a heater. I have never had to plug in any diesel I have had over the years.

Re: Block Heater cord

If you WANT one..
they are not that expensive...
go get one :-)

but complain(er, ask nicely, but firmly!) first -
see if that gets you one or at least a discount on one !!!

all they can say is no....

(and fyi, I've never used mine either!)

Re: Block Heater cord

I don't use mine to help the truck start, I use it to help me start on those cold mornings. A prewarmed heater and heated seats sure are nice.
