Block Heater Install

I can't seem to find the block heater plug on my truck so I'm assuming that it wasn't put on there as the option. From what I understand the heater core is actually in there you just need the wiring harness for the plug.

I was wondering where you guys get yours and if anyone has any info/pictures as to where the core is and where the harness plugs in?

Just above the starter on the passenger side. You can get the cord at the dealer for about $60-$80. I've seen others on ebay but they don't look like the factory cord. Plan on getting some scrapes on your hands for the install. Sorry, no pics but if you do a search on this site you should find some pics.

You can get the cord off ebay (or online) or from international. The wire routing instruction are in the link below.

Before you buy a cable, look in the area of your passenger-side driving light (fog light). That is where you should find the plug.
