Last Wednesday towing my 23ft TT I lost power(60mph tops). This happened about 5 miles from where I was meeting up with a buddy to continue our trip. Pulled into campground he was at and noticed coolant was down a little bit. I topped it off and pulled my rig around so it was pointing towards road ready to go. About 45 min later he was ready and my truck wouldn't start. It turned over very hard. Eventually it started and as soon as it did it started pouring coolant out my muffler. Hind sight being 20/20 I know I was hydrolocked and really shouldn't have pushed the issue to start it. I have never had any sort of coolant coming out of my degass bottle. Even now there is no coolant leaking near the bottle. I did notice some coolant dripping at the front of the engine(near the starter at the bottom). In your expert opinions did my head gaskets give or do you think this sounds like an EGR Cooler issue. As you can see in my sig this is a stock unit with only an upgreded air filter. The truck has 125k and the only issue ever with it was a coolant hose wore through and the dealer pulled an ICP code about 3 years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The loosing power part and hydro lock sounds bad to me. If you didnt lose any power and had coolant spraying out of the degas cap, I would say heads are blown. When my heads blew, I couldnt keep coolant in it when towing at all. It would coat the left side of the truck and most of the trailer but never leaked out the pipe. I would 2nd ERG cooler popped^^^^, but the coolant out the muffler scares me, loosing power you my have bent a rod or two.

Thanx, I'm hoping that it's just the cooler but the hydro lock scares the crap out of me. There was no coolant anywhere near the degass cap and it never heated up at all. Is there anyway to check the cooler or do I have to tear down replace it then hope that was the problem and if it is the heads tear it back down?
My only issue now is I can't find a trailer big enough to get this beast home. Hopefully I can find one today and go pick it up. It's about 100 miles from home as I write this.
Where in Michigan are you? Dont know if I would be any help. Depending on where u are.
