boost leak after cleaning turbo

i have an 05 f250 6.0, was sitting for over a year and was not building any boost when i bought it. after driving it a bit, i was getting maybe 5 pounds of boost. it's throwing code p2262... no boost/mechanical. decided to pull the turbo and have a look, was pretty dirty so i cleaned it according to this procedure: Diesel Technician Society

put it all back together and now have a boost leak through the little pin holes on the clamp that holds the two halves of the turbo together. i tightened it down pretty damn good before installing it and it looked flush all the way around. i just pulled the turbo again and cannot seem to figure out why it would leak there. i was wondering if it would be ok to put rtv gasket maker all the way around the edges where the two halves of the turbo seal together, or if you guys have any other ideas. i really hate doing the same job more than once, would like to figure this one out asap.

thanks
