I get an easy 500mi on a tank unless I am standing on it alot. Then it drops a little.

Re: buying my first diesel

I used to have a short bed with the 29er. I kept a 5 gallon jerry can of diesel in the bed just in case. I never had to use it even when driving thru Wyoming in the Tetons and Yellowstone. You may have to think ahead occassionally and you may have to buy fuel where you do not want to once in awhile but the 29er is not that hard to put up with.

Re: buying my first diesel

snox,

Since you are getting an 05 truck with TorqueShift (good tranny) and the plow package, make sure it has the tranny recall installed before you take ownership. It should say in the OASIS report (based on VIN#) if it has or not.

Other than that, you should be GOOD TO GO!

Enjoy the heck out of your new truck. Congrats!

Brian.
