Can't find 2007 upfitter switch wires / SEIC advise

Yes I've seen photos of where to look on the 2006 ... spent over an hour lookin.
The SEIC / CAC bundle has a few whimpy orange wires and the pass thru group but thats it.
I jambed my hand up to the back of the switches which reveald one harness branching into a bigger harness.
Can some electrical wizz describe or draw a resistor & pot combo that will result in the prescribed 510 ohm to 42K ohm variation ... SEIC chart implies "open circuit not allowed with Diesel & manual transmission". I imagine a 510 ohm resistor in series with a 50K pot would do it ... do i really need to be concerned about going past 42K ?

They are on top of the fuse box and tough to get at without remove the fuse box itself. Remove the access panel, remove the four bolts, and pull the fuse panel out and down. You will then find the upfitter wires.

Re: Can't find 2007 upfitter switch wires / SEIC advise

I just did this on my 07. Would have taken five minutes but....

I pulled the fuse panel and the outfitter wires were right there. They are "capped" with a plastic plug looking thing. Just pull it off.

The SEIC wires were harder to find. I found a bundle above the E-brake, and proceeded to strip a bunch of tape off. None of the wires matched the guide.

After an hour of looking, poking, and cussing I found them right behind the fuse panel. The wire group has a plastic retainer clip that snaps in to the metal panel next to the E-brake. When I pulled the fuse panel, it came loose and sort-of hide the wire bundle.

Once I found them, they were labled with a white sticker and capped just like the outfitter wires. Hooked two of them together and it was done.

Drank more than one beer after this....

Thanks for reply
I pulled the panel ... guess some times the hardest things to find are right in front of you.
I found the SEIC wires and the pass thru wires grouped together right away (behind panel) but understood from service bulletin Q108 to look elseware for uplifter switch wires ... I'll pull panel tomorow and look near ebrake again.

thanks to Robert Bradley rbradle1@ford.com > Ford Truck Body Builders Advisory Service > 877-840-4338

I was made aware of Quality Bulletin Q-117
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/qvmp.html
It has a picture of wires taped to fuse panel harness nice and snug ... sure enough when I looked again there they were
