Cheap fuel pressure test

Anyone got a quick way to test your fuel pressure, and what pressure is expected to be from a good pump. I suspect I may be have some fuel pressure issues, but I'm not sure.

40-45 minimum. A good pump should be 50psi. If your dipping below 40 you have issues. What is your truck doing to? Have you changed the fuel filters?

At around 2100 rpm +- it seems to feel starved for fuel, kinda missing for a couple of seconds, or like a sputter, but there doesn't seem to be any real noticeable power loss. I had the drive train checked out about 2 weeks ago and there were 3 injectors changed (one bad the other 2 were weak) and it seemed like a marked improvement. The thing is the sputter wasn't an issue before the service. I don't know if they re flashed the control systems or not, I guess that would be a good place to start. I don't know if they checked the fuel pressure or not, but I would expect they would have. I plan to call them and ask if they checked the fuel pressure, and what were the results. What do you guys think?

Just a comment.... if you suspect a fuel pressure concern, it is vital to check the fuel pressure when the problem is happening. Checking fuel pressure at idle in the driveway is futile at best and can be misleading at worst....

nothing lower then 45 run around with 40 psi and youll be beating injectors out of it. sounds like it could be a high pressure oil problem, its usuall the higher rpms when your gonna feel a low fuel pressure problem.
