Cold start problem
I have a 2005 F250 diesel 4x4. It is currently at the dealer being checked because it was taking about 5 to 6 seconds of cranking before it would start. I know that does not sound like along time but it sure feels like it when you are trying to start your truck. The dealer cant't figure it out and they have who they call a "field engineer" coming to look at it tomorrow. The truck was dropped off last tuesday for three warranty items. They told me last wed. the cold start problem was fixed and they were waiting for a new door panel for the right rear door. I went to pick it up yesterday and when I tried to start it the thing cranked for about 7 seconds before I stopped trying. It did not start!!! A tech went out and checked it and it fired up after about 6 seconds of cranking. The computer is not giving any trouble codes for the problem. Any ideas or simillar prblems??
