Continued injector problems

So here's the deal. I hope that there are some truely hard core PS guys/gals out there that might shed some light. I have had my truck in the shop twice now in less than 2 mo. with injector problems. The first time 4 injectors were replaced, egr cleaned and inspected, and a new egr valve celenoid. I just picked up my truck today after the second trip in for more fuel delivery problems.

On my way to the dealership the damn thing died which required a tow in. It would barely idle. The service manager said that the #6 injector was replaced and the injection system was flashed because things were out of whack eventhough I had barely driven the truck since I got it back from the last round.

One strange thing is that problems don't start surfacing until an hour or so down the road. I can't keep the truck at speed going up hills and they don't have to be that steep. I was assured that all filters were and are clean. I'm rally close to giving the darn thing back and keeping alive the bad 6.0 karma.

Desperation is starting to set in.

need to check fuel pressure...anything under 45 psi is gonna give you lotsa problems. Fuel pressure is #1 issue for repeat injector failure. If BOTH filters have been replaced and fuel pressure is low, gonna need to check fuel pump and pressure regulator. May also have inlet restriction in tank also, but not very common on 6.0

Hey thanks for the tip. I'll let the shop know in the morning when I take it in yet again. I got to thinking that it's got to be something of that nature, but you know how warrenty work goes. They just can't go off and start troubleshooting when the computer tells the tech what to do. I hate that about these new vehicles.

Also as a side note, my salesman called me back this eveing and is going to try and find a replacement. He feels terrible. Anyway, thanks again for the note.

So it seems that a CAC tube is the culpret this time. I tried quizzing the service mnger, but he did not give up as much info as I had hoped. They are going to run it on a cold start in the morning to see if things are the same or if there is some further tuning to be done. Here's hoping!

Just an FYI - the EGR valve and solenoid is all one piece. They do not come separately. Also, if the CAC tube blew off or split significantly, I would think it would be pretty loud. Make sure the dealership gives you details. If they don't, then ask them how the failed part caused the injector and no-start problems.
